Anja Pustaver, MFT Clinical Intern
Hi there! I'm Anja, a Clinical Intern providing therapy here at Evolvewithin in Elm Grove and statewide via telehealth, and The Family Center in Madison, Wisconsin. I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Edgewood University, and I'm excited to work with you on your journey towards your thriving relationships and overall wellbeing.
My therapeutic philosophy is deeply influenced by the systemic perspective, a core tenet of Marriage and Family Therapy. This means I'll work with you to understand your experiences within the context of your relationships and life systems. As the anthropologist, Gregory Bateson wisely observed, "the major problems in the world are the result of the difference between how nature works and the way people think." This concept guides my work, as we explore how your relationships and life as a "greater system" contribute to your experiences regularly. Rather than isolating individual issues, we'll explore the interconnectedness that shapes your daily life, acknowledging how these dynamics impact your well-being. This collaborative approach allows us to gain a deeper understanding of your unique situation, fostering positive change and greater success in therapy and a lasting impact on your life and relationships.
Drawing on my own nearly fifteen years as a professional classical performing artist and three years as a yoga instructor, I bring a unique blend of empathy, insight, and a holistic approach to my practice. My background has cultivated a deep understanding of human potential and holistic wellbeing.
I'm particularly enthusiastic about empowering high-achieving adults, teens, and working with couples to tap into their innate strengths and uncover their full potential. I cannot wait to meet you and help you become your best self!
